Aloha! I'm Aleah (She/Her)
My work consists of many mediums including watercolors, charcoal, pencils, color pencils, and printmaking. My work is a way of coping through her ADHD as I find it easier to express through art rather than speaking. The Pop movement-inspired art focuses on my hyper fixations and nostalgia, such as themes of childhood and growing up in an Asian household. The colors of the pieces add flare with a vintage feel.
Artist Bio
Aleah Seamster is a contemporary mixed media artist based on Oahu, Hawai'i. Her work gives the viewers a look inside her unmedicated ADHD brain. She produces a mix of figure drawings, landscapes, and prints which are a range about family, personal experiences, or a topic that might be on her mind and needs to be released. Aleah is currently studying at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and will receive her BA in studio Arts in the fall of 2024. Her work has been exhibited at the 2023 Honolulu Printmakers Show and the 2023 Intergenerational show.
